This upscale gated community with a staffed gatehouse and 24 hour security service is located in North Naples on 2.2 miles of sugar-sand beach.  The setting is strikingly unspoiled, combining the Gulf of Mexico, Little Hickory Bay and preserves.  Along Barefoot Beach Boulevard, 150 new royal palm trees were planted in 2008.  In addition, the walkways and the Barefoot Beach Boulevard road surface were reconstructed with clay pavers.  Four beachfront neighborhoods provide a choice of upscale residences from condominiums, cottages and mansions with direct ocean views that are valued at over $10 million.

Barefoot Beach Club is located at the south end (adjacent to the County Park) of the community.  There are 348 residences in 12 mid-rise art deco buildings with 7 stories located directly on the Gulf or Little Hickory Bay (has boat access to the Gulf).  The condos range in size from 1.6K to 2.4K square feet.  There are 2 heated swimming pools, 2 hot tubs, an exercise facility with a direct view of the Gulf, a clubhouse and barbecue grills. Outside showers are located at the beach walkovers to the private beach (no public access).  Parking for guests (1 vehicle) is underneath the buildings with additional spaces next to the buildings.  Access to the condos are via security coded elevators.  These luxury condos are valued from $1 million to over $2 million dollars.  See an aerial view of the community and the private beach.

Cottages at Barefoot are located at the south end.  This cluster of 3 level single-family homes with elevators and garages are all located on the beach.  They are adjacent to The Club (private members only), which has tennis courts, a large swimming pool and fine dining.

Brief History of Naples, Florida, United States

Naples got it’s start as a winter retreat for the wealthy in 1886, when a group of savvy real estate developers purchased 8,700 acres of shoreline laced with pearly beaches.  The lots sold like hot cakes, and soon rich notables of the era were building stately beach homes along the water. Within a few years, Naples became a magnet for northern rich and famous-types looking to pass the winter in sunnier climes.  Today, visitors can see the original settlement, dubbed “Millionaires Row”, in Olde Naples, where careful preservation has enabled most historic buildings to survive.

Despite it’s relatively small size, Naples offers the sophisticated arts scene of a big city anchored by the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts.  The ritzy 3rd Street South district offers up Rodeo Drive style window shopping with it’s assortment of pricey retailers, while 5th Avenue South offers hip galleries, chic shops and cutting-edge restaurants.  The Naples Pier (live video) is an iconic landmark for fishing and watching sunsets.

With world-class residences available for guests, and gorgeous beaches, Naples is a locale for travelers with a taste for the luxurious.  Championship golf and upscale districts make it a dynamic and sophisticated getaway.
